French Essentials is an online language school of french created out of sheer passion for language education as well as from the desire of helping people grow in a professional, effective, yet playful way.

French Essentials lessons follow the progression of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) and rely on the action-oriented approach recommended by the latter.
French Essentials' approach
French Essentials approach consists in teaching vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation through shaping and developing learners' imagination, creativity and critical thinking in french.
During lessons learners are actively part of their learning experience as they are guided in an inductive way through a dynamic sequence of activities and interactions which includes:
[Observation] Listening or reading of a first audio, audiovisual, text or visual document on the lesson's theme with questions of global comprehension of linguistic sense.
[Comprehension] Listening or reading of a second document on the lesson's theme with questions of comprehension of linguistic sense as well as questions of interaction so that learners may express their point of view and ideas on the situation or topic covered.
[Conceptualization] Listening o reading again of the documents with questions of identification and comprehension of linguistic forms.
[Systematization] Guided training exercises on the use of the new linguistic forms learned.
[Production] Free practice exercises with the autonomous use of the new linguistic forms learned in which learners are invited to act, react and interact writing or speaking in specific situations.
After each lesson learners can deepen their comprehension of their new linguistic knowledge with training and practice exercices in a personal digital copybook put at their disposal.
The objective of French Essentials training courses is making sure learners are autonomous and self-confident either in using or learning french through their own practice of the language.
